Snow Melting Sensors and Controls
SmartMelt Snow Melting Control Systems monitor snow and ice in parking lots, driveways, walkways, ramps, paths, stairs, steps and stoops to prevent slips and falls due to snow and ice for commercial, industrial and residential installation.
The unique staggering feature of our controls allows the property owner to melt snow and ice in larger surfaces and areas than by using common de-icing/snow melting system with the available power supply on site.
The modularity of the system makes it the most suitable solution to any installation as the customer can choose the right configuration for his property needs.
A special attention was addressed making the system simple for use both by the installer and the end user. A quick installation accompanied with minimum wires connections makes the system “full error resistance.”
Premium Outdoor Snow and Ice Melting Control
The SmartMelt Snow Melt Control, when used with compatible sensors, automatically controls snow/ice melting heaters, ensuring minimum operating costs.
The individually adjustable algorithm continues heater operation for up to 99 hours after snowfall stops, to ensure complete melting.
The upper limit temperature sensor (included) optimizes the operating temperatures when using constant wattage and MI heaters.
For commissioning the system as well as testing the sensor, a special feature enables the technician to simulate the cold conditions. An indicator will signal if a fault exists.
All sensor and communications wiring is SELV, Class 2. This simplifies installation and increases the safety.
The system can interface with up to 5 sensors. Using more sensors provides superior performance by better matching the zones controlled to site performance requirements.
